Classification of diamond drill bits

Most diamond-impregnated bits are artificial diamond bits, known as artificial diamond-impregnated bits. Synthetic diamonds are much cheaper than natural diamonds and can be used more widely to drill in hard formations.

Repeated sand and coating over long periods of time forms the working layer of the bit. During electroplating, the bit steel body is also shaped by plastic mold, so that the coating grows along the axis of the bit, and ensures the inner and outer diameters and small grooving of the carcass. Diamond composite sheet (PDC) is a special superhard material synthesized by artificial diamond and hard alloy at high temperature. The efficiency is at least 60% higher than that of ordinary alloy bit, without grinding, greatly reducing the labor intensity of workers and saving time. The key raw material for the blade of two-wing PDC anchor bit (half-piece reinforced type) is produced by GE. The diamond content of the blade is 1.5 times that of the ordinary bit, with excellent wear resistance, significantly improved efficiency, and reduced overall cost. It is suitable for medium hard rock strata below grade 12.
The blade of high strength diamond bit adopts the newly developed spherical diamond blade, which is characterized by fast drilling speed and strong impact resistance. When the bit is drilling, the lip is used to scrape the rock of the normal uniform formation. The protruting part prevents the bit from being drilled in large amounts of time when it encounters gaps during drilling, which greatly reduces accidental damage to the bit and improves the drilling level in complex formations.
