Components of a Wellhead

If you work in the oil industry, you probably came into contact with the wellhead at some point. However, many people do not know the main components of the wellhead. Read on to learn about the main components of the wellhead.

Casing Components
There are three main parts of the casing: the head, the spool and the hanger.

The casting head is used to help isolate the surface casing from all external factors. The head also helps to support the weight of workers while drilling.

A casing spool usually consists of several strings, but certain ones have only one string sometimes. During drilling, the casing spool works as an additional sealing device.

There are two types of casing hanger: slip and mandrel. When the pipe gets stuck, the worker will install the sliding hanger, then you can replace the sliding hanger after cutting the casing. If threading on the wellhead is convenient to use, mandrel hanger is the preferable choice.

Tubing Components
The tubing also has two main parts: the head and the hanger.

The tubing head allows the tubing to be suspended. In addition, the tubing head helps maintain high-pressure operations and test for different seals of the well.

As for the hanger, dog nut’ some people also call, seals the wellhead and keeps it locked. There are several types of hangers and adapters that can be used for different purposes, so be sure which one works for your condition.

Pack-off Components
Although they are not so pervasive, the pack-off flange is still worthy to be noted. They are usually installed above the casing head or spool and provide additional seal.

Whether you are a beginner or have been engaged in the oil industry for decades, you should have a clear understanding of the main components of the wellhead.

Diamond Polishing Pad

Diamond polishing pad , also known as diamond polishing pad , is a flexible processing tool made of diamond as abrasive, combined with composite materials, with Velcro cloth on the back, glued to the joint of the grinding machine, used for grinding, stone, ceramic, glass, floor tile and other materials for special-shaped processing, suitable for stone polishing, line chamfering, curved plate and special-shaped stone processing. It can also be used for the special-shaped processing, repair and renovation of marble, concrete, cement floor, terrazzo, microcrystalline glass, artificial stone, floor tile, glazed tile and vitrified brick. It is an ideal stone grinding tool with strong grinding force, good durability, good softness, clarity and gloss. The whole process is divided into rough grinding, fine grinding, fine grinding and polishing four stages. The gloss is over 90°. Use 1, used for artificial stone, granite and marble stone processing, with a complete stand...

Separation of PET and PVC flakes with Optical sorting technology

The controlled concentration of PVC in PET flakes is essential in the plastics recycling process for most PET cleaning and recycling plants. This is because of the low melting point of PVC, which can cause clogging of the nozzles and increased breakage rates due to premature melting and carbonisation during the PET production spinning process, which can result in a large number of black spots in the product and affect the quality of the PET product. However, most high-end applications (e.g. the production of high-grade polyester fibres) require a PVC concentration of well below 50 ppm. therefore, in order to sell to high-end users at a high price, PET recyclers must make an extra effort toremove PVC from the PET flakes produced. How to remove PVC from PET flakes? PVC is difficult to identify with the naked eye as it is almost the same colour as PET, and even more difficult to remove when crushed into flakes. Due to the difference in melting point, PVC is the "numb...

Diamond Saw Blades for Building Materials

Diamond saw blades are tools used for cutting and shaping hard or wear-resistant materials that are difficult to cut effectively with conventional blades. They are commonly used in applications in the construction, masonry, and manufacturing industries, particularly for cutting materials such as concrete, asphalt, brick, tile, granite, marble, and more. Additionally, diamond saw blades can be used for cutting fragile materials such as glass, quartz, and others. The main advantages of diamond saw blades are their high efficiency and durability, which allow for accurate cutting and extended blade life. This is due to the fact that they are embedded with diamond particles, which are the hardest substance known to man. As a result, diamond saw blades are able to handle tough materials and withstand high temperatures and friction without dulling or breaking, making them a popular choice for many cutting applications. Choose from our selection of diamond saw blades i...
